How Fiber Car Wash Brushes Take Part in the “Cleansing Ritual” of China’s Fuxing High-Speed Trains

As the third generation of car wash brushes, fiber brushes are made of advanced polymer materials. They are soft yet highly durable, available in various colors, and create a striking effect during use. These fibers retain a large amount of water, which makes the contact between the brush body and the vehicle smoother and more protective. The fiber tips are specially treated with a high-tech finish, ensuring that the cleaning process is both effective and safe for painted surfaces.

So how do these fiber brushes take part in the “cleansing ritual” of the Fuxing bullet trains?

In China’s railway system, the Wuhan EMU depot is considered a vital hub for train maintenance and cleaning. Here, every Fuxing high-speed train undergoes a thorough deep-cleaning every 48 hours—almost like a solemn ritual of purification.

During this process, the train moves slowly into the fully automated washing system at a controlled speed of 5 km/h. Once the infrared sensors are triggered, high-pressure nozzles spray a neutral cleaning solution to loosen dirt from the train’s surface. Next, rotating brush groups perform a 360-degree scrub, ensuring every inch of the train is restored to a spotless shine. This initial wash takes only five minutes—highly efficient yet thorough.

After the automated wash, more intricate areas such as the streamlined train nose and narrow window grooves are cleaned manually. Skilled workers, often called the “scrubbing masters,” use long-handled brushes and vacuum equipment to remove stubborn dust and hidden debris, ensuring the train is refreshed inside and out.

The rotating brush groups used in this process are equipped with third-generation fiber brushes manufactured by Lianxin Brush Industry. Capable of cleaning over a hundred trains every day, these brushes combine efficiency with durability while protecting delicate surfaces. Thanks to this innovation, China’s high-speed trains maintain their gleaming appearance as they carry millions of passengers nationwide.
