Cleaning and sanitizing processes require a large amount of water and cleaning agents. Therefore, the water and moisture resistance of the brush should also be considered. Soft bristles are usually made from animal hair, plant fibers, or synthetic fibers. They are soft and comfortable to the touch, and are suitable for maintenance and cleaning relatively easy-to-clean surfaces. Soft bristles absorb water and oil, so they must be cleaned regularly to prevent mold growth and bacterial contamination.

4.1 Brush Length

The length of food machinery brushes should be chosen based on the size of the equipment being cleaned. Generally, the brush length should exceed the length of the equipment to ensure deep cleaning.

The diameter of the brush should correspond to the diameter or radius of the tools or equipment being cleaned.

4.3 Brush Shape

Brushes come in various shapes, such as flat or round. The shape should be selected according to the equipment and the area to be cleaned. Round brushes are suitable for cleaning the inner walls of pipes and containers, while flat brushes are better for cleaning flat equipment surfaces.
